The fall in the roll against the winning margin
Each dot is a constituency. It sits across by how much smaller its roll was at the 2026 nominations than at the 2024 Lok Sabha nominations, and up by the 2026 winning margin, the winner's votes less the runner-up's. The fall in the roll is a different count from the names removed. Dots below the line are seats where the roll fell by more than the winner won by. Colour shows the party that won.
How many seats, on each count
Three ways of setting the fall in the roll against the margin. The first stops at the draft roll of December 2025. The second runs to the roll the election was held on, after the names held back for adjudication. The third counts the second at the seat's own 2026 turnout, the share of its electors who voted. None of them separates the names entered as dead, because the reasons are published for the state only.
The fall by the party that won
Every seat, by the party that won it
Each dot is a constituency, placed by how much its roll fell for every 100 electors on the 2024 roll. Kolkata's eleven seats are in red. Hover or tap a dot for its name.
The fall per 100 electors in the seats each party won in 2026. The last column sets each seat against its own district and averages the difference, so that a party's figure is not just a measure of where its seats are.
