Seats reserved for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes
Every assembly seat is either general or reserved for a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe candidate, under the Delimitation Order of 2008. This section compares the two kinds of seat in the six states that published their figures by constituency. A seat is reserved because more of its people belong to that group than elsewhere in the state, but most of its electors usually do not belong to it. So the comparison says how hard the revision fell on the places, and nothing about which electors in them were removed.

How much the final roll made up
For each state with a final roll, the rise from the draft to the final roll as a share of the names the draft left off. The rise counts new voters as well as names put back, so it is the most that could have come back, and the true share is lower. A figure below zero means the roll shrank again after the draft.

Border districts
The border districts are the Government of India's own list of Border Guarding Districts, as printed in the Staff Selection Commission's notice of 1 December 2025 for constables in the Home Ministry's armed police forces. No district on it was chosen by this site. Each state is set against itself in its own measure, and states are never ranked against each other. A border district's rate, high or low, says nothing about any elector's citizenship.
